What's the right height to hang a picture?

Oh, if we had a dollar for every time we were asked that! There's really no absolute answer.  It depends on many factors and each and every case has it's own variables and peculiarities.  But be assured, our skills are honed by many years of practice.  

What else do you hang?

Could be an opening for a weak joke ('no we don't do husbands') but we'll desist.  Now, let's see: 

• Obviously pictures and artworks of all kinds - watercolours, drawings, oils etc; plus mirrors - especially big and heavy ones
• Sporting and other memorabilia; degrees, certificates and diplomas
• And of course, photos - whether family portraits, scenery, holiday or arty shots - big and small

Not to mention things that don't really make it under the category of pictures, such as:

• Wall sculptures and candle holders
• Plaques, key hooks, coat hooks and pot plant brackets
• Masks, rugs, quilts and fabric hangings

We live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.  We cover all the following coastal and hinterland areas, and their surrounding districts:

How do you know where to put pictures?

We assess the whole collection - especially if you have more than a few pieces to be hung. We look around and consider any physical constraints.  After careful appraisal, only then are we ready to start with the physical stuff.

And we hang all these inside or outside, on plasterboard, masonry, plasterboard over masonry and tilt slab concrete walls.

I have stacks of family photos. What can I do?

Sounds like you need some kind of portrait gallery!  It might be clustered together in one area - making a grand statement - or spread around as space permits.  By sorting all your memories into harmonious groupings, we make it pleasing to the eye. Oh, and we always try to leave room for additions!

I love to rearrange my pictures.  How can I easily move them around?

Gallery hanging track system is the best way. We can install a great system that makes it easy to rearrange your pictures.  The track is secured to the wall, and individual drops are fitted into the track.  Add adjustable hooks that can slide up and down the drops - voila!  Ultimate flexibility.

What does professional picture hanging cost?

That depends on how many pictures you have, because we charge by the hour. It also depends on the hangers themselves and how large the item.  Some things take a long time to get up, while others don't!  Some clients take ages to ponder suggestions while others know their own minds!  For our current rates, please use the Contact Us page or phone on 0417 763 956.
